Sheffield Urban River Corridor Stakeholder Workshop, 28 April 2008 Posted: 01/05/2008

On 28 April URSULA hosted its first stakeholder workshop. Most of the sixty or so participants were from organisations with an interest in the long term regeneration of Sheffield’s urban river corridors. Feedback from stakeholders and academics who attended the event confirm that the day was a resounding success. Many interesting ideas and insights regarding aspirations and interventions for Sheffield’s urban river corridor were raised and discussed throughout the day. These outputs will make an important contribution to the direction of the URSULA project. In the near future, reports will be produced documenting the workshop and outlining the future development of URSULA. These reports will be available to all interested organisations and individuals. Academics and researchers associated with URSULA would like to thank all those who attended the workshop for their interest, enthusiasm and contributions. More information on URSULA and how it intends to involve stakeholders in its activities can be obtained from URSULA team members Peter Moug (; 0114 222 6285) or Tom Wild (; 0114 222 6283).
