Visit by Sustainability Researcher from New Zealand Posted: 07/06/2008

On the 5 th June URSULA researchers discussed their work with visiting Sustainability Researcher Jeremy Gabe from Landcare, New Zealand, as part of his trip to the UK, funded by New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT).

This trip to the UK follows on from Abigail Hathway and Louise Hurley attending an International Networking event for Young Scientists (INYS) in New Zealand funded by the British Council. INYS gathered together young scientists working in the UK with those in New Zealand to discuss Low Impact Urban Design and Sustainable Consumption and was organised in part by URSULA academic Richard Ashley.

The reciprocal MFAT funded trip enabled research ideas begun at the INYS event to be worked up into more concrete proposals.
